Evony Forum Happenings in July

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Today, I’d like to take the time to describe some of the happenings at the Evony forum boards:

Ever since the release of iEvony Beta, the official Evony forums and on all the Evony servers and worlds, players have been heatedly discussing and debating about iEvony. As I discussed earlier, iEvony is a client that allows members to gain credits, which can be turned into Game Cents. Obviously, everyone wants free money & Game Cents, so hundreds upon hundreds of players piled threads into the Evony forums in attempt to gain more credits for themselves. There are over 328, different threads (and some of them have hundreds of posts in them) about iEvony within just over a week of release. Remember, this is only in beta as well!

Recently, NPCs & Medals are the hottest spot of discussion for Evony Guides, due to the everchanging variables. When will the level 10 NPC be changed next? What’s the current Medals drop rate?

Evony has, in theory, four liasons now. Dawnseeker, Swansea, Thalin Athasian, and Valkirah. Unfortunately, we have not heard hide nor heels from Valkirah and he has done nothing but post an introduction.

Getting Evony Medals

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

In a previous medals article, Hods Realm gave the basics for obtaining and finding medals. We gave you all the factors in determining how to get certain medals. Due to high demand, we will give you exactly where and how to get the medals you need.

*NOTE* This is the Hods style to obtaining specific medals. If you do what we tell you and you do not yield the same results, then we claim no responsibility. Medals ALWAYS have a chance of failure. We are giving you what we think is the best way to obtain the medals.

Please make sure you have read our general medals guide first.

Always allow troops to fully regenerate in an NPC or valley or you WILL NOT have a high chance of getting a medal. I repeat, always allow the troops in a valley or NPC to fully regenerate or you will lower your chances of getting a medal by a lot. *Note* Troops are fully regenerated after 1 hour of being defeated.

How to obtain the medals you need:

We will list five or less of the most likely places you will find the respective medal. The first is the highest probability, the second is the next highest, the third the next highest, and so on. Obviously, the first place we list is your best bet of getting that medal. You can of course obtain that medal a different way, but these are the most likely and the Hods way of doing it.

Cross Medals:

1. Attack any level 1 valley with 50 archers.

2. Attack any level 2 valley with 100 archers.

Rose Medals:

1. Attack any level 3 valley with 200 archers.

2. Attack any level 2 valley with 100 archers.

3. Attack any level 1 valley with 50 archers.

4. Attack any level 4 valley with 400 archers.

5. Attack any level 1 NPC with 50 ballistae.

Lion Medals:

1. Attack any level 3 NPC with 250-300 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

2. Attack any level 4 valley with 400 archers.

3. Attack any level 3 valley with 200 archers.

4. Attack any level 2 NPC with 125-200 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

5. Attack any level 5 valley with 750 archers.

Honor Medals:

1. Attack any level 4 NPC with 300-400 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

2. Attack any level 3 NPC with 250-300 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

3. Attack any level 6 valley with at least 1,500 archers.

4. Attack any level 5 valley with at least 750 archers.

5. Attack any level 2 NPC with 125-200 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

Courage Medals:

1. Attack any level 5 NPC with 350-500 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

2. Attack any level 4 NPC with 300-400 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

3. Attack any level 7 valley with at least 3,000 archers.

4. Attack any level 6 valley with at least 1,500 archers.

5. Attack any level 3 NPC with 250-300 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

Wisdom Medals:

1. Attack any level 5 NPC with 350-500 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level)

2. Attack any level 7 valley with at least 3,000 archers.

3. Attack any level 8 valley with at least 7,500 archers.

4. Attack any level 6 valley with at least 1,500 archers.

Freedom Medals:

1. Attack any level 5 NPC with 350-500 ballistae (depending on your hero’s attack level).

2. Attack any level 8 valley with at least 7,500 archers.

3. Attack any level 7 valley with at least 3,000 archers.

Nation Medals:

1. After completely wiping out a level 10 NPC, allow 40,000 warriors to regenerate. Attack and defeat the level 10 NPC with 40,000 warriors regenerated.

Justice Medals:

1. Attack any level 10 NPC with at least 90,000 archers and a few thousand warriors, pikemen, and swordsmen. Do this at your own risk, and only do it if your hero’s attack is very high.

There you have it. If you find that there is something we missed and you have proof that it is a very good way to obtain a specific medal, then please, send an email to hods@hods.com.

*NOTE* It appears that this only works for the earlier servers. It does not work for the servers and worlds whose drop rates have been lowered.

Building a City

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

This is a short but sweet article about how to make a second city, third city, fourth city, and so forth.

Firstly:

You need 10,000 food, 10,000 lumber, 10,000 stone, 10,000 iron, and 10,000 gold. In addition, you need to own at least one flat and have 250 workers available.

In order to build the X amount of cities, these are the Titles you need:

1st City – Civilian
2nd City – Knight
3rd City – Baronett
4th City – Baron
5th City – Viscount
6th City – Earl
7th City – Marquis
8th City – Duke
9th City – Furstin
10th City – Prinzessin

Please keep in mind that you will need the required Rank, medals, and gold to advance through the Titles.

Secondly:

To actually build your city, you need to click on the flat that you want to build your city at, and click “Build City”. You want the allotted time, and ta-dah! You have your next city!

Evony Medals

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

May 17th, 2009:

As of the date above, I will summarize, describe, and elaborate on the medals in Evony.

Firstly:

Medal drops have been updated. The previous medal drops of basically zero have now been changed to a higher drop rate. The medals are worth more with increasing value based on how much loyalty the medal will give to a hero, how easy it is to obtain the medal, and what promotion you need the medal for.

The medal rankings, from lowest to highest / easiest to hardest:

Cross Medal
Rose Medal
Lion Medal
Honor Medal
Courage Medal
Wisdom Medal
Freedom Medal
Justice Medal
Nation Medal

Secondly:

If you are trying to get a lower level medal, like a Lion Medal, then you will need to attack lower level valleys and barbarian cities, such as levels 1-3. If you are trying to get a higher level medal, like a Freedom Medal, you will need to attack higher level valleys and cities, such as levels 6-9.

Thirdly:

The type of valley does not matter. If you attack a level 2 lake, you have the same chances as obtaining a medal as attacking a level 2 flatland. The medal quest information has not been updated. Although the quest still says that you have a higher chance of getting a medal from a certain valley, I repeat, it does not matter.

Fourthly:

Scout Spamming is not a very effective way of obtaining medals now. The first reason is because you get negative prestige for scout spamming. The second reason is because a main factor in getting medals is how much the valley has regenerated its troops. If you attack an empty valley, your chances of winning a medal are next to zero. If you let the troops completely regenerate within the valley, you have a much higher chance of getting a medal.

Hods Way of Getting a Medal:

If you want to know exactly how to get the medals you need, then please read THIS GUIDE.

That’s the story everybody. I hope this helped you be more informed on the current medal happenings. Good luck on getting your medals and getting promoted!
