Evony has made the restart game available to all players! The following is the official message:

“Dear Evony Players,

The Restart Game feature has now been reactivated. This feature is used to reset all data to the very beginning on the specific account to the original state or newly created account.

This means that once you select this function, all your cities will be removed and you will have one single city, with a level 1 townhall, level 0 wall and no resources, production units, military units, research, etc. You will have completely started over.

Players can select this to rebuild their lords But please note caution needs to be exercised to avoid accidental resetting their lord account and clearing all data. Evony will not be liable for accidental resets; use this functionality at your own risk.

How do you use it?
Please click on the avatar of your lord or lady in the top right corner of the main Evony: Age I screen. The Player Information screen will pop up and please select in the bottom right hand corner the button labeled “Restart Game”.”

Evony players often talk about having “specialized cities”. This means that they have a “farm/food city” or “sawmill/lumber city” or “quarry/stone city” or “ironmine/iron city”. Your guess is probably right – that the particular city only has farms, sawmills, quarries, or ironmines. What is the advantage of that?

Farm & Food Cities:

We believe Farm specialized cities to be the 3rd best type of specific cities. Lumber and Iron cities are more strategic, but Farm cities are more effective than stone cities.

Pro:

- You can support a larger army without having negative food production.

Con:

- If your farms cannot support that large army, then you will have negative food production and no means of getting more food. Since you used up all your resource field slots, you cannot produce other resources to make gold.

Sawmill & Lumber Cities:

We believe Lumber cities to be the 1st best type of specific cities. This means that this is a better city than food, stone, or iron.

Pro:

- Due to the high prices of lumber in the market, you can usually sell 1 lumber for twice the amount of food. Therefore, you can support a twice as large army as that of a Food city. In addition to that, lumber is a necessity for researching technologies, constructing buildings, training troops, and building fortified units. In essence, lumber is the most important resource in the Evony.

Con:

- You have to wait 30 minutes for resources to transport to your city through the market.

Quarry & Stone Cities:

We believe Stone cities to be the 4th best type of specific cities. This means that this is the worst city to have and that food, lumber, and iron are all better options.

Pro:

- You can have a huge amount of stone to build fortifications and construct buildings.

Con:

- Stone is the least valuable resource and therefore is fairly worthless. The average trade rate is 100 stone for 1 food, 500 stone for 1 lumber and iron. The prices speak for themselves.

Ironmine & Iron Cities:

We believe Iron cities to be the 2nd best type of specific cities. It was tough to decide which was more effective – iron or lumber cities. Iron is definitely a good city to have. Why is Iron worse than Lumber? Yes, we are aware that lumber and iron prices are virtually equal, so it boiled down to one thing: Ironmines take longer to build than Sawmills. That is the only reason.

Pro:

- Due to the high prices of iron in the market, you can usually sell 1 iron for twice the amount of food. Therefore, you can support a twice as large army as that of a Food city. In addition to that, iron is a necessity for researching technologies, constructing buildings, training troops, and building fortified units. Iron is equal in prices to that of lumber.

Con:

- You have to wait 30 minutes for resources to transport to your city through the market.

As of the date above, I will summarize, describe, and elaborate on the medals in Evony.

Firstly:

Medal drops have been updated. The previous medal drops of basically zero have now been changed to a higher drop rate. The medals are worth more with increasing value based on how much loyalty the medal will give to a hero, how easy it is to obtain the medal, and what promotion you need the medal for.

The medal rankings, from lowest to highest / easiest to hardest:

Cross Medal
Rose Medal
Lion Medal
Honor Medal
Courage Medal
Wisdom Medal
Freedom Medal
Justice Medal
Nation Medal

Secondly:

If you are trying to get a lower level medal, like a Lion Medal, then you will need to attack lower level valleys and barbarian cities, such as levels 1-3. If you are trying to get a higher level medal, like a Freedom Medal, you will need to attack higher level valleys and cities, such as levels 6-9.

Thirdly:

The type of valley does not matter. If you attack a level 2 lake, you have the same chances as obtaining a medal as attacking a level 2 flatland. The medal quest information has not been updated. Although the quest still says that you have a higher chance of getting a medal from a certain valley, I repeat, it does not matter.

Fourthly:

Scout Spamming is not a very effective way of obtaining medals now. The first reason is because you get negative prestige for scout spamming. The second reason is because a main factor in getting medals is how much the valley has regenerated its troops. If you attack an empty valley, your chances of winning a medal are next to zero. If you let the troops completely regenerate within the valley, you have a much higher chance of getting a medal.

Hods Way of Getting a Medal:

If you want to know exactly how to get the medals you need, then please read THIS GUIDE.

That’s the story everybody. I hope this helped you be more informed on the current medal happenings. Good luck on getting your medals and getting promoted!
